APSI Summer Book Club 2024: In Manchuria
Speaker
Professor Nicole Elizabeth Barnes (History)
APSI's summer book club is back by popular demand. The second book in our three-book cycle is travel writer and professor Michael Meyer's In Manchuria: A Village Called Wasteland and the Transformation of Rural China. Part travelogue, part sociological study, part reportage and part memoir, this volume is a compelling and unique look at China's legendary northeast territory.
The discussion will take place online, so members of our community near and far are welcome to join.
Be sure to register via Zoom (https://bit.ly/APSIsbc). Sign up for a single conversation, or register for the entire series at once.
