Late Spring Tree Ramble

Speaker

Katie Rose Levin, International Society of Arboriculture

Join Katie Rose Levin, International Society of Arboriculture board certified master arborist, for a late spring ramble in the Gardens! Part science and part storytelling, this class covers everything about trees. We'll focus on tree ID-particularly using leaves and summer colors-and we'll also discuss trees in our landscapes, relationships between birds and trees, traditional uses of trees and trees in a changing climate. Bring your questions and your curiosity. Meet at the Gothic Gate entrance. This will be a small group program that takes place outdoors and traveling on a combination of paved and unpaved paths with some uneven surfaces and moderate inclines. Fee: $22; 20% discount for Duke Gardens members with discount code. Registration is at https://rsvp.duke.edu/vrbobR . Parking fees apply ($2/hr.). gardens.duke.edu. Information: 919-668-1707, gardenseducation@duke.edu
