Duke English invites you to the screening of Grant and Adam Conversano's short film Summer's End. After the screening, Grant and Adam Conversano will converse with Alex Harris during a Q&A about filmmaking in the South.
Adam and Grant Conversano, alums of the North Carolina School of the Arts, founded Apple House Pictures, a Brooklyn-based production company, in 2020. The brothers make documentary, commercial, and narrative films that have been featured on PBS' Film School Shorts and at numerous film festivals.
Alex Harris is a professor of the Practice Emeritus of Public Policy at Duke University. He founded and directed the Center for Documentary Photography at Duke in 1980. Major collections that include Harris' photography included The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The North Carolina Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
